The world economy and our beliefs
The world economy is what most people believe it is. What do I mean by that? You listen to the news, read the news, and hear the news all day long. We talk about what is going on, we think about what is going on and we look for evidence to support what we see. We find it. So we believe it is so. It does not feel good and we begin to experience fear. We find more evidence of it. The cycle continues.
What if you began to change the focus of you attention for an hour? What if you could be thankful for what you have for just an hour and savor the things and friendships you do have? Would that feel better?
It is a universal law that your mind cannot focus on two different emotional levels at the same time unless you choose to let the other emotion become part of your focus. That hour of focus on the things that are good about our lives will feel so good that we do experience relief. As you feel and experience this higher emotion, you become more creative and think of ways that you can change your current situation. As you act upon those thoughts you will begin to change the course of your current situation.
Facing reality does apply here if we do this right. It allows us to know what we do want. From there, we start to apply another universal law, let go and allow things to start moving in that direction. You have heard the saying “keep your eye on the ball”. The ball is what you do want. You keep your eye on the ball so that you do not drop it when it does reach you.
Sometimes it takes someone else to help guide you in this process of refocusing your dominate attention. Life coaches can help; ministers who believe in the good in the world, your children, your pets can help you change your situation. It is what you believe on a constant basis that will begin to show up in your world. It is called faith. You also need to believe you deserve it. That comes from self confidence and good self-esteem. Self-esteem will come when you let go of the idea that you are not worthy and not deserving of love and the good things in life.
The unemployment rate is high all over the world, not just in the United States. The missing ingredient is hope, love and gratitude. There is so much that can be done, if we would just allow our focus to change for even an hour a day. More creativity begins when things are a little rough. When things are running smoothly, there is no need to change so creativity suffers. This can be proven by history. New ideas are born in times like these. Businesses become more efficient; workers become more productive and save resources. Some of those laid off employees choose to start their own business born from creativity; some get a better education so that they can fit into the new world economy. What is your choice?
